What is dedicated server

A dedicated server is a physical server which has a single 'tenant unlike other forms of virtualization and cloud hosting, for instant shared hosting (webhosting) and VPS (Virtual Private Servers. A dedicated server operates for one customer or for multiple simultaneous users, but it is dedicated fully to the specific client who rents it. It is not shared among several clients. Every server rented is a separate physical chunk of hardware, which constitutes an operating server machine on its own. It is also called a single-tenant physical server.

The customer who rents the dedicated server has full control over its software and other content which he has installed. He has his own access password to the server. Nobody watches his content in his dedicated server.
